Politikere i sosiale medier
This paper is a report concerning the final group project of INFO371 (Topics in Networks and Text Analysis). The course was taken at the University of Bergen during the spring semester 2016. The goal for this project is to gather data from social- and traditional media, and use a variety of network and text analysis methods to get insights into the sources opinions and statements. The different statistical and analytical techniques includes, but is not limited to text mining, word frequencies, data aggregation, sentiment analysis and topic modeling. We find it interesting to see how politicians use social media. Do they use it to cast light on their causes? Do they have a stronger connection to political allies than their political rivals? Many aspects of their social media usage in particular deserves further research.
